Meet Melissa Rost
My roots on the Eastern Montana prairies run five generations deep, and this place has shaped both who I am and how I work. I hold a BA in Education and have been teaching or working with kids in some capacity for thirty plus years—something I still love and learn from every day.
For 14 years, our family provided foster care, and four of our nine children joined our family through that system. Those experiences deeply shaped my understanding of intergenerational trauma, resilience, and the power of steady, caring relationships.
Prairie Roots Coaching and Consulting grew out of both my professional work and my lived experience. I do this work because I believe people’s stories matter—and that real, lasting growth happens when we’re given the space, support, and tools to move forward with clarity and intention.
I have a certification in Trauma and Resilience Life Coaching from Arizona Trauma Institute and am also a certified mBIT coach. I am currently completing a certification in Social Emotional Learning and Facilitation through the Breathe for Change organization, which will also complete my 200 hour yoga teaching certification.
